Before the brand, there was the grind.
For over two decades, I coached girls fast pitch softball. Before that, I played men’s fast pitch for 13 years. I wasn’t a bucket coach—I was in it. I threw full windmill, hit infield/Outfield, and stayed active because I believed in leading by example. Every rep mattered. Every ounce of effort deserved recognition.
My coaching philosophy was simple: reward effort, not just results or what the scoreboard said.
I celebrated the little things. The extra hustle in practice. The swing that didn’t connect but came from the right mindset. I believed that confidence was built through effort, and that growth came from the grind—not just the scoreboard.
When we lost, I didn’t blame my players. I looked inward. If we made errors or chased bad pitches, it meant I hadn’t prepared them well enough. So I worked harder which led to my players working harder and we got better. And we kept showing up.
